Sidewalk Plant Tours

20 Mar

Every wanted to learn the name of the plants, flowers and trees around you? Well, now is your chance!

Learn to identify the plants growing in your backyard, literally!

Gold Finch Designs owner, Alexis Mastromichalis will share over 15 years garden + horticultural experience working as a professional gardener, farmer and educator.

We will address seasonal maintenance care required for trees and plants, medicinal herbal uses, and fundamental permaculture principles.

Most tours are about an hour and a half with a break along the way for restroom and snack time. Tour sites range from South Berkeley, North Berkeley, East, West & North Oakland, and Downtown Oakland.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and anything else necessary for you to be comfortable. Bring a notepad and your camera and lots of questions!
